
Biography
Nicole Burkhart is a young American Soprano hailing from the Kansas City, MO area. Burkhart is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory, where she received a Master's in Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance. During her time at UMKC, she was under the tutelage of Dr. Aidan Soder. Before moving to Kansas City, she was under the guidance of Joyce Castle at the Univeristy of Kansas. There she received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance.

Since arriving in Kansas City, Burkhart has performed the roles of La Bergére and La Chouette in Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges and Ida in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus at UMKC. She was also able to explore Annina in Verdi’s La Traviata with Lawrence Opera Theater, and Arminda in Mozart’s La finta giardiniera at UMKC. Burkhart has played Dido in Dido and Aeneas at UMKC. She had the ability to perform the role of Mutter in Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel with LAH-SOW during an online season due to the recent Pandemic. This past Summer, Burkhart performed in Lawrence Opera Theater’s production of Carmen as the featured role of Mercedes. This fall, Burkhart is looking forward to her stage debut with the Lyric Opera of Kansas City where she will sing Soprano Chorus for Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci. Burkhart is also a well-known church musician in the Kansas City area.
